Default Question for the blower guys.

I'm trying to figure how much boost I can get away with on 91 pump gas.. 496 BBC 8.0 to 1 Iron heads..

It's a jet and I know that should make a little difference. The blower is only making about 5psi right now. I'm running 30 degrees total advance. I set it at 32 on the dyno but wasn't gaining much power anymore with the last two degrees so I dropped it back to 30.

I have a boost retard but it's set to zero. The cam is a 114 and 288 duration so the cylinder pressure is probably pretty high even with the low compression..

If this were a turbo I would just keep turning it up and watch for sparkles on the plugs but buying pulleys isn't free.. lol
Big block chevy's are not my normal thing so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm already at 9 over but it's only making what it is.. same 9% made 9 psi ish on the 454.. I would think I could pulley up the difference in cubes back to 9 psi again atleast? I'm starting to think this is a 6-71 and not an 8?

Don't bother trying to make any more boost your just going to superheat the air and have a meltdown. You are going to need to upgrade your blower with some teflon strips if you want to make more boost.

That's like the 20th time he's gone by today?"
