Default 2013 First boating get together

We couldn't have asked for a better day for boating or maybe we did and the Good Lord took care of us. I honestly believe everyone that was there really enjoyed themselves, I know Scott and I did. I think Sheppie forgot his suntan lotion because I see where he said he is "CRISP". Oh well,he'll learn. I counted 34 boats. I heard someone else say 28 boats but I think they missed the ones that were out running. Your not going to believe this but Scott got me in the boat the first time out this year. For those of you that didn't see it, watch as we have a Video that will be posted later. The water conditions were extremely great. Keith Bowels catered the food and we all had plenty of good food to eat. It was good to see all of the regulars and I even met some new folks. After the boats were put on the trailers several of us sat around the parking lot and gossiped for about an hour or so. I would like to mention everyone's name but sometimes I forget my own so I won't even attempt it. I'm glad you were all able to come out and I'm looking forward to our next get together. Chet.

A couple more passes with the iron and that's going to be a nice boat. The pond was BEAUTIFUL today, and I have the sunburn to prove it.

I have an 8000 rpm rev limiter chip in my box, the boat hooked up and went to 6800 today like it was free revving. Didn't want to push my luck on a fresh motor without any plug reads for jetting. I think a 7000 chip, 10% more gear and a 16 pitch prop, then more seat time. The boat feels really stable and safe, plus absolutely no bow steer when decelerating. I love it when a plan comes together !!!! Thanks for the help Lynn !!!!

Violator, It's a 19ft Edge Stealth. Runs pretty good. We always want to go faster, but who can afford it after retirement? I don't get in her too much anymore since the seat shrunk, but my Son and Grandson got this "GOPRO" recorder for Christmas and just had to Video the "Fat Guy". It's all in fun. Hope to see you at a meet. Chet

Nice video, Scott and Chet. I need to get one of those cameras.

Why are you guys passing those 60 mph jet boats so slowly?

Chad, What you don't realize is that we are safety conscious and if you notice we are not wearing Life Jackets so I told Scott to take it easy. That's why it looks like we're passing them slowly. I've also been wondering if your going to post any Pics? Chet

I have a few beach photos from Saturday, but did not post them yet. I didn't get any action shots. Wamplers is so big, and the action is so spread-out, it's tough to get shots of everybody unless I spend the entire day floating around and waiting for passers-by.

Marble Lake will provide ample opportunities to get photos of everyone's' boats in action.

It will also be a great opportunity to line up my heavy old eggbeater boat with Wildfire for a fair drag race, so Scott can shut me down once and for all. Good thing you guys were taking it easy and playing it safe out there. The audio track indicates you guys are turning around 6000 RPM in the video, so you should be OK if she's got more left. With almost triple as much horsepower on a much lighter boat-- spanking me shouldn't be too difficult.
