Default New Toy Marks the Start of a New Addiction

Just picked up a new toy the other day!!! It's a 20' SleekCraft Tunnel. Has a 454/Dominator/Snoot/PD combo on it. I've never owned a jet before, so here we go!

Just wondering if there is anyone in the SW Michigan area? Looking for others to go boating with, possibly drink a cold beverage or two, wrench on boats, and maybe have a friendly race or two. Like I said - I haven't been down this path yet, so bear with me and all the seemingly stupid questions I'll be asking! Also if there's any shops around the area that know their stuff - I'm 100% positive I'll be looking for a good place to pick up parts/pieces/advice to make this boat faster!

    Here's the ride!

SWEET!!! just drag that boat to some of our events...you will have fun! I think Aaron is in that area and he works on the boats as well. Here on the MHB forums he goes by Hotrod 21...I think. He sets up the Marble lake events, so if you check out that thread you will find him. WELCOME!!

Congrats. Beautiful boat. The advice I can give you is shut it off WAY before you get to shore. Sucked a rock last year with my jet and ruined the pump.

Thanks - it's going to be an ever evolving project that I'm looking forward to ! I'll definitely bring the boat out to some of the events! Right now I'll probably mostly be running in the Grand River just East of Spring Lake. I'll probably be making a couple trips out to Gun Lake as well.

Nice boat but it's an Aristocrat not a SST. Welcome!

Bring it to Marble Lake this Saturday. Shouldn't be a far drive for you.

I saw that boat for sale parked in front of the Reillys auto parts store on Plainfield ave in Grand Rapids.
I had a 20' Sleekcraft Aristocrat tunnel just like that many years ago.
Good all around boat. I like the classic lines to it.
Look up under the dash in front because the front deck wanted to break loose on the one I had.
Needed to do some fiberglass reinforcement there.

A 5.3 witrh a single 76mm turbo would be the ticket. A stock motor will handle mild boost.
