Default lake st. clair isnt for my little hydrostream!!!

My buddy has a 22 foot checkmate and invited me to go to Lake st.clair with him. We put in at Metro beach and went over to Harsens island and then up the river and came back. We stopped at a few places, one of them is where jobbie Nooner is. I followed him so he broke the waves and it still sucked. It was a fun experience I've never been up that way. But I'm leaving the hydro stream to inland lakes. There's was three of us in my boat. I feel like someone beat me up. The place is no joke you need a good size boat out there.

Yep, stick to the channels up by Algonac. The Sny is a fun place to run and hang out. Click image for larger version.

That's like the 20th time he's gone by today?"

That's a bad ass looking boat!

I fueled up in algonac. You must be talking about different channel then we were in. There were huge fucking freighters in the river were I got fuel. $60 for 12 gals! I'm a poor ****** from detroit. I spent $120 in fuel plus the oil to get beat up. Im still sore. Not sure if I'm just a pussy but there were smaller boats than my shitbox out there. My buddy that was in my boat has seen Aarons boat and asked me if those kind of boats come out here? I'm like I don't think so but am starting to understand all your guys little spots you go are for our type boats. Way more friendly for "hot boats" I'm a newbie and learning were to boat.

My buddy has a 30' skater and wanted me to go to the river last weekend. I pussed out cause I'll get killed trying to hang with him.

If you launch at Deckers Landing at the end of Anchor Bay Drive, head north through the no wake about a 1/4 mile and turn right and your in the Sny. Usually just a few people fishing and maybe some water skiers. You were in the South Channel and that place is nuts.

I was impressed at the size of the armada of boats at Muscamoot. If the waters rough, I take the 24', if it's like glass the 21'.

I know this is old, But this is where I do most of my boating. Is the south channel the only channel that you are allowed to put your boat on plane? I was by Deckers for the first time last Friday and cruised past these dudes. This huge SeaRay blasts me with his air horns. I'm guessing that I should have been off plane? Oh well, My less than a foot high wake must have been offensive.

I use the South River Rd. DNR ramp and cruise straight across Lake St.Clair to Harsons. If the winds are around 8 mph or less and it's a week day or after Labor day it's really not that bad.
