I currently live on Wolverine Lake, not the biggest lake for boating. Walled Lake is much larger, 3rd largest in Oakland County.
Reg. Unleaded is about $3.30 gal. right now. For great water, we go west to Brower Park, or north a couple hours.
Lot of good guys in MHB, ( and a few that aren't!, LOL!).

Whats name of company you are considering?

    • So are you in Michigan or Texas now?
    • Like 1liberator, I grew up in and still currently live in Wolverine Lake / Walled Lake area.
    • If you already moved to Michigan, did you bring the blown Hondo?

Dude, You'll be just minutes from one of the country's most crime ridden cities!!!!!

It can't get much more exciting than that.

A lot of the boats here use Kevlar in there hull. It helps stop the bullets from fully penetrating.

Hey Man, I live less than 3 miles from America's most dangerous city and let me tell you it's not as bad as they say. I have not personally witnessed a murder, but I'm pretty sure I heard at least one. In fact the water is the safest place around Detroit!

    It's all good.
Michigan has got to be the greatest state for fresh water boating. If you love the water and outdoors this is the place for you.

The whole Detroit thing, well let's just say that because I work in Detroit, and live in a neighboring city, I am not the person that's clueless and talking all the hype about Detroit's great comeback. I don't see it at all. Even though there is a lot going on downtown, There is still a lot of abandon buildings throughout the downtown area.

I love Detroit and Michigan and Pray for it's success.
