    Default Stage Fright

Hey guy's, came across an old Howards hydro that still has the name STAGE FRIGHT under the old cracked and peeling paint...it's in the Milford, Mi. area, and apparently has been around the Oakland County area of Michigan for some time...

...hasn't been in the water for years...according to the current owner, it was originally Hemi powered, then big block Chevy...wanting to see if anyone remembers it, or any history...I'm going to try and get some pics this weekend...thanks

    Default Stagefright BFF

I'd like to know where Huey's Stagefright blown fuel flat ended up? Along with Harry Serra's Magnum Force BFF?

Harry's son Todd is on Facebook. He would be the one to ask.

Default Magnum Force, Stage Freight & Warpath

I think Walt Forbes has Harry's boat. I think he lives in Holly, MI and has some buildings up in Tawas or Oscoda. I'm not sure which location the boat may be at. Walt collects a lot, but doesn't sell much if anything.

I've seen Huey's red Howard flatbottom around the Walled Lake area off and on. So Milford isn't very far away at all. But it's probably been over 5 or 10 years since I've seen it. And last I saw it did have a BBC in it. I know Adam and/or Jeff put a Chevy in it about 25 or 30 years ago, maybe longer. I'm trying to remember what happened to the white Warpath boat. That was a 2" runner Howard Huey had. I probably haven't seen that boat since the early 80's. I want to say Huey's last red hydro was cut up. But I can not say for sure.

I wouldn't mind looking at any or all of those boats. I'm not interested in buying any of those listed above. I'd just like to see them and see what has become of them.

But that applies to dozens of boats that used to be in the area. I would like to find a couple of Kindsvaters my Dad had in the 60's. One had a rosewood deck. The other was orange metalflake. But I haven't seen them since the 60's.

Another 4 seat solid orange with yellow? trim 19' Kindsvater a friend had that used to be on Commerce Lake. That boat was around as recently as 1990.

Darin I dont think Walt has the Magnum force boat ,maybe I'm wrong but don't think so -the only Kindsvaters I have seen are green metalflake 2 still around...I had a 19 silver metalflake in the early 90s .And a certain 76 Sanger just got sold by a rodent ,name on the boat was Hot Chocolate,,,ring a bell?

I could be wrong on everything I typed? Maybe I should just butt out?
Someone could get a hold of Todd and he will know. I believe Harry bought the boat from Bob Morgan. I heard Bob was looking for the boat, but I heard that after Bob passed away, which I think was late 2011?

Yeah, I believe Hot Chocolate was built by Dick Blake. Then I think a guy on Mandon or Round Lake bought it. Rick Brailean? <check spelling>. West of Round Lake Road in Union Lake anyways. If I remember right Dick worked on that boat for a long long time. I heard it was really nice, as he always did meticulous work. I've never seen the boat, only heard about it.
