...I may actually get the Cole back together and come out and play this year. Short block is done, heads are soon to be ordered, everything else is on pool table....

Oh, I still have a boat that runs, but it's a pontoon with a 175 evinrude on the back....jet boat will be on back burner this summer....not happy about it, but at least truck will get used. Probably get out 20 times a summer...spread that across two boats and my wife may have a point about justifying all the money spent on these black holes.

    Default south Wisconsin

Wow, you are in south Wisconsin. (I looked at your profile) I've only driven through Wisconsin twice. My Dad talked about the waterski shows and the Dells back in the 70's. So I've had a curiosity of boating around southern maybe south western Wisconsin. You live there, so you might be partial. But what are your thoughts about boating with a flatbottom v-drive in your area? I see it looks like mostly rivers. Nothing urgent as I probably wouldn't be able to travel this year anyways. There was a Belmont less engine (I think) for sale I was considering a couple years ago. And wasn't JockoRace from Wisconsin or Minnesota? I think he moved back to California last year.
    Thanks, Darin

That was my Belmont, it went to Iowa. We live in northeastern Illinois now, but do our boating in Lake Geneva, WI. Plenty of river around to run a flat.
