Ive never been out on a boat there. Good question!!

MHB has been there many times, so if it wasn't hot boat friendly I think they would take it off the schedule...

    I've been there several times.
There is another large lake next to it connected by a channel.
There's a couple pretty nice campgrounds.

One year they had some local event where they wanted us to make demonstration passes in front of the crowds in the grandstands. It was lots of fun. The lake is big and can be rough but no worse than any other inland lake on a weekend.
A guy brought his old school hydro with no splash guard and it sunk when another boat went by.

Nice Big Lake, and when your done, If you go with the guys, ck out Koz's 8 ball lounge !!!.............. They work hard for the money !!!! Also, in some places the water is only 3 ft. deep 1000 yards off shore................ Best to get a map or be carefull where you go with a v-drive.

Boats were made to get wet and people don't often melt. A bad day at the lake is better than a good day at work. I've met a lot of fair weather boaters since I joined this club back in 1991, but they all agree that is fun to meet new people and imbibe together even if the weather isn't the greatest. We'll see you at Cadillac if you think you won't melt. Chet.

Oh Chet. I know we won't melt!!!
I was just expressing my disgust with the weather here in northern Michigan so far this summer.
I'm only about 2 hours from Cadillac so I think me and my daughter will still make the run over Saturday morning.
As far as my boat getting wet. I need to keep the water outside the hull.
With no bilge pumps and no flotation in the hull a good hard down pour will make her run real low in the water!! Lol!!
Hope to see a good turnout saturday.
    Think summer!!!!!!
