Sounds good what time you think you will be there? What ramp do you go to? Is there a place to hang out like a sandbar or island?

Yea, South Higgins. The launch is by far, the best you've ever seen!
It's in a cove, 6 launches, then you idle out past the crazy nice beach,
    between bouys, then hit it!!!

This beach is where everybody hangs out. Theres the S.Higgins store right there.

You will not get away with running zoomies on Higgins.

I would say that they will not get away with running a flatbottom at Higgins.
It's a super nice lake (nicer than Houghton IMO) but its big and can get rough.

We were on Higgins several years ago when a huge storm came up.
We could see lightning HITTING THE WATER across the lake.

    Flattie,
I can't say if it would be a problem or not.
I was there in 2005 and never saw a cop on Friday. DNR controls the launch though, they may have a problem.
Houghton lake is only 25 min. away in case.

    Higgins is awesome.
I don't think it's as rough as Houghton, it's not as big or open.

Good news though, I'm staying at Comfort Suites Lakeside, next to launch.
They just called to let me know they are having their own "lake party"
on Sat. There will be a beer tent and $1.00 beers!
    Weather looks sweet, too!

Hey Flattie, I have those blue headers if you want to use them. If you do use your new headers, will the headers blue with methanol?
