    Default Michigan Jet boaters

    Hello all,

I am new to this site and to the jet boating community. I recently just inherited my fathers 78 Sanger Super Jet after he passed away last December 26th. I did a complete restoration on this boat for him 3 years ago as a Christmas present which just thrilled him. But now the boat has been handed down to me and I am looking forward to getting into inland lake boating again.
Along with the Sanger I also own a Sunsation 32 Dominator with twin 700SC's so since 2001 I have been runnin' with the offshore boys on Lake Saint Clair. I just wanted to introduce myself and get an idea of where all the Michigan jet boaters and V-drive boy's run their little water rockets so I can join in on the fun this spring.

Here are a few pics of my Sanger and my Dominator so if any of ya see me this season just flag me down and have a cold one with me.

    BRING ON SUMMER!!!!!!

You must followed it on HotBoat.com or Speedwake and yes it was a total surprise to him and was an emotional moment for both of us. Was the only time I saw tears in my fathers eyes. He truely loved this boat so seeing it completely restored was truely a Kodak moment, and yes the boat means more to me now then ever before.
I am putting the original name back on the sides of the scoop which was "Bad Company" and on the transom it will Say "A Son Never Forgets" in honor of my dad.

Here are a few pics of when he got to see his toy all restored.

The lake is Wamplers lake and it's at Walter J. Hayes State park. Take Michigan Ave. west ( US-12 ) You'll go through Saline Mich. Eleven miles west of Saline you'll go through Clinton Mich and about 7 miles further west you will come to the entrance to Walter J. Hayes state park. You can only turn right and that road is M124. Two miles or maybe less you will turn left and be at the gate where they will take your money for a state park sticker. Continue through the park to the boat launch. We are looking for ward to seeing you and your boat there. The date is May 22nd. Chet.( Wildfire ) Plan on having a good time.

I figured for sure I would probably get nailed by the water cops on Lake Lansing for loud exaust since I am running open headers. Are they sticky about the noise laws there?

Is Wamplers Lake big enough for the Dominator or is it more for the Sanger?

The Sanger is probably the best for Wamplers, although you could run the Dominator, the ramp is good. How long is it? There are maps to Wamplers and other info on the MHB website.
