    Question Biggest / Best Event?

    Hey Guys,
I know some of you guys (Tony-Yooper, Rick-Flattie, etc.) and online (Mark-Unchained, Amato's, etc). Could you guys tell me which event this next summer would be the best one to have my son fly out and attend with me. We would prefer an event with a lot of hot passes/grudge races/etc.
I'm thinking instead of dragging all the way out to CFW (California) on Father's Day I would have Steve come east. He too, would really like to meet you all as well. I have 2 race dates (Iowa 7/25 and Minnesota 8/14) so I kinda thought the 7/10 Gun Lake deal or 9/10,11,12 Brower Park would be cool.
Anyone else feel free to chime in on this! Damn, this winter's been looooong. Jocko

    2010 Michigan Hot Boats Schedule
    May 22 Wamplers
    June 5 Oscoda
    June 19 Brower Park
    July 10 Gun Lake
    July 24 Oscoda
August 7 Houghton Lake (Bud Bash)
August 14 Gladwin ( Smallwood Lake River Fest)
August 28 Gaylord ( Otsego Lake)
    Sept 10, 11, 12 Brower Park ( Hotboat Weekend)
    Sept 25 Holloway Reservoir
    Oct 9 Wamplers

You got it right Dave Gun Lake or Hot Boat weekend would be my choice. Both have good turnouts. Also you won`t see alot of side by side racing, cops don`t seem to like it to much.

    Default Under the "Biggest/Best event"

If I could only make one event this year, I would save it all up for Hot Boat Weekend.

The 2 weekends you chose are usually the biggest, as far as turnout goes. You will see some hot passes, but as far as drag racing, you wont find much until the Sunday of Hot Boat Weekend in September... By then most of the guys on this forum have gone home..

Thanks for the input. I'm going to try to attend as many events as possible, however Steve can decide which one (July or Sept.) fits his schedule best. I'm really looking forward to this season, since I've found some more horsepower with a few add-on bits for the Cougar! Jocko

Sounds good Dave. Hope to see you this summer its been awhile. Mabey we can find a lake in wisconson between us where we can make some noise for a weekend.

That would be cool. It sounds you and Rick pretty much aren't welcome (by the DNR guys) at Shawano? I can run either way, zoomies for racing and water injected headers w/mufflers for lake running. Do you still keep a trailer at Shawano? Jocko

Sure they are welcome by the DNR, just have to pass the decibel test. Once you pass they just wave at ya. "If they are even out there" Only seen the DNR a couple of times last year.
I went in and got recircumsized again........I lost 10lbs. & was able to save the lives of 3 children in the burn center.........but it's not my fault they turned out to be dickheads.

When you can tell me how to get a blown alky deal to 88db you let me know. Then I`ll be back at Shawano. I rather enjoy boating without the worry of getting pinched for someting as petty as noise. Shawano is a great lake but there are just to many dickheads that complain about a little noise rather then unsafe boaters ie drunks on jet skis or drunks in fishing boats.

I pulled the camper out of Shawano. I would rather boat down state any day of the week twice on sunday. No hassels and lots of alky buddies
