Default Hardy Dam in the winter (Hardy Party)

My brother took these pictures today. To me it looks like we need a stump pulling party and right now would be the best time to do it.

Seeing all this i think i am pretty lucky i have not hit anything yet. Just due to the fact that i draft a little more water then most of the outboard crew.

Looks like the water is down 6-8 feet from what Kyle is saying.

Brother went and took the pictures. So i would have to ask him. I am sure some of the I/O boats hit them more then the smaller boats but i told him to take the chain saw out there and make them a little shorter or gone all together.

If anything at least scoop the muck out of the backside of the sandbar.

When I pulled up my anchor last summer the boat floated over that one stump just downstream of the sandbar and the rudder was keyed in good.
I would like to chainsaw that one off especially.

I don't have a chainsaw but I'm willing to drive over next weekend if a few people want to meet up and see what we can do. Water may go up soon with the snow melt.

I would lend a hand, BUT

I have made plans for this coming weekend.
Anyone else going to be in Clare this weekend?

I don't think anybody will say anything about cutting the stumps. Set up a time and I'll drive over. Maybe I'll spot Flattie's flip-flop.

I dont know any of you, but I believe I have met both of those stumps! I live in Big Rapids and I would be more than willing to meet up with a few people to remove them. I could plan on being around next Saturday.

Ok brother says he can be around on Sat but not on sunday. I could drive over from midland and bring the chain saw. I would suggest we cut them short and not take them out. Because maybe the DNR will say that is a no no.

We will have to take a look to see what is going on. I am going to ask my brother too look at the water level on friday to make sure it has not gone up to much.
