    Iknow of two bare block 4 bolt .30 overs and a vette 396 way down in michigan tho sorry

    I didn't know they ever put a 396 in a vette, what year? may be "65" or "66"? I dont mean to jack the thread...... just interesting to me.

    Michael, my bro has some "truck motors" but those are all tall decks, so I'm sure your not interested, not sure he would sell them very cheep ether, but I could ask.

    You said standard deck, but I got a 572 long block set up for blown gas v-drive. Been sitting in a garage for about 6 years. Not much run time before the boat was trashed in an accident. $8000

    Thanks guys...I think we got enough parts to make an engine...rods will be here tues and then off for balancing
