Default Vandals are the scum of the earth

I've owned a jet boat since 1980 and each summer I keep it stored at a facility , which I considered secure, near my home in Livonia,Mich. Up until now I never had a problem. How fast things change. Yesterday morning I got a call from the storage lot owner that the cover on my boat was off and I should come down and recover it. The cover on my boat does not come off by itself so I go into a rage immediatly. I jump in my truck and fly to the storage lot to find some A--hole or two have ripped the cover off of my boat, taken all of the guages from the dash by cutting the wires and were in the process of trying to remove the intake manifold, valve covers and the headers. All of the bolts were out and strewn around the area. I think someone must have spooked these " Low Lifes Mother------- " because it looked like thay were running away and dropping the bolts as they fled. I called the police who actually came out and spent about 3 hours getting finger prints from the boat. Fortunatly I've got insurance on her and they are going to take care of everything, but what a sorry situation to be in when one of my favorite meets is this weekend in Oscoda. Hopefully none of you have to go through this. I'm still going to Oscoda. Just taking a different toy. We're taking Scott's 70 Chevelle. It dosen't float like the boat, but it looks good. See you there. Chet

Chet, Harv called me and told me 'bout it. That is B.S.! Hang them F**&$#ers! Nothing worse than a thief. Sorry to hear.
My motto is, need to borrow it, no problem. Need it twice, time to get your own! You don't know how pissed I hate thiefs! I had a prop stolen in 2006, I watched Craigs list EVERY DAY. 2 years later it was listed, down the street mind you, went over there with a baseball bat.
Told him, we can settle 1 of 2 ways, and he turned it over! BS!
I hope u catch them MF's. I also hope insurance takes care of this too!

Thats what sucks about not having your stuff in your yard, a 44 would've taken care of them . Make sure u take pics, it's easy, and proof!

That just plain sucks Chet, had one of my boats stolen in 99, and was recovered the next day. A friend down river heard a jet boat start @ 2am, and figured it was his getting lifted, turned out to be mine. He drove the sherrif deputies out to the boat, as the thief jumped over board and swam to the wooded shore line. They never caught the jagoff, but I believe I know who it was, learning information, and a persons where abouts in the time frame.

Hope it gets fixed quicky and correctly, they wanted to total mine, they made the adjuster come out to survey the boat, everything was fixed, and then some.....
