We launched at.brower last year, kinda busy but it was expected. There is a launch up river from the sandbar where everyone sits/runs, seems to.be near that tall.bridge if i remember.right. Which launch is this? Less traffic then brower? We are only puttin.in a 18' & 24'

    Thanks

The ramp near the sand bar is nice(watch out for rocks) but it fills up fast.Get there around 9am and you'll be fine.I pull up to the sand bar around 9-9:30 and people are just starting to show up.Looking forward to some great weather, nice boats and good people.(also cold beer)

Hey- used to launch my 24' there all the time. Perfect for that size boat. But as Jason said- because it's free, it will fill up fast and there isn't a ton of parking close to the ramp. Further back up the road you come in on near the FSU ropes course there is more parking roadside if you don't mind walking. To get to that ramp you need to get on Northland Dr (old 131, get off at exit 131 and head east)- first intersection (big ice mountain plant on right), turn left (north), just as you come into Rogers Heights (from the south) look for Hayes St (only goes to the left, Rogers Pond is on the right), turn left, go about a mile down the road(approx), and you'll see an intersection before it dead ends, turn left onto the dirt road- follow it all the way to the launch. Be careful immediately upstream of the launch as there is broken concrete near the shore that will eat props (ask me how I know). The north sandbar is ust downstream from that launch.

If your boat is under 30ft, you can launch there- won't find less traffic though. Definitely the nicest launch on the river and only 6$, drawback is the walk up the hill to the parking lot. After a whole day of drinkin' on the boat it can look like Mt. Everest... lol. If I could fit mine in there I would always launch there because of the conveniences available. It fills up quick too though. If you are going to the Hardy Party, you pretty much have to either stay up there and already have your boat in the water or get to a launch early. It's probably the busiest weekend on the river all year. Lots of fun though.

    Default Oxbow?

Last time I went...4 or 5 years ago We launched at OxBow. Pretty shallow launch but docks were long enough. Nobody uses that?

I'll be there. Taking the 32 Sunsation for Hot Boat Weekend but I'm thinking on taking the Sanger out to Hardy on Labor Day for some runnin'.
Just gotta convince the wife to come with me. The Sanger makes her nervous because it's so much smaller than the 32 Sunsation.
