Gladwin is the spot for this coming weekend. Everyone I've talked to is meeting there. You may want to change your plans and come to Gladwin. It sounds like it will be a great time. Hope to see you there. Chet

Same water. Smallwood is on the southside of Secord Lake dam.

Tim, my son, had his boat on the river Sunday evening but never went all the way up to the lake. His is orange metallic over solid orange. It is LOUD so hard to miss if you were on the river. We have a cottage on the river just south of the other marina.

The black and red one is the day cruiser I was talking about. I have the Sanger on the shore station hoist, just west of lost arrow.

That was the boat I seen on sunday. I checked out the stringer thread. Man that looks like one Hell of a project. A lot of F-bombs in that one. Very nice end result.

Now that I've meet the super cool DNR officer for Gladwin county I may have to go up there and check it out.

    SecordLaker,

That was us and I was wondering if you guys were on here as well. I saw your boat over the 4th of July weekend and it looked awesome, and also the owner of the Black cruiser was out throw some roosters that weekend. That weekend after seeing the 2 of you guys was where I made up my mind I was getting a Jet Boat

Is anyone going to be up there over the Labor Day Weekend? as I know I will be there for sure and hoping to make it up a couple more weekends thru Sept and Oct

Hi guys. I am new to the forum today and could not resist registering and communicating with you all. My parents are retired and live on Secord - about 7 houses north of the yellow marina.

I'm sure those boating for years on Secord Lake are familiar with my folks place and previous speed boats from years past. Anyway, I had fun last weekend blasting around Secord Lake with the other outboard boats (Saturday evening and Sunday) after the MHB Meet at Smallwood. I am familiar with all the boats mentioned above. I live in Gaylord and make it to Secord Lake a few times a year.

As previous years, the Secord Lake gang will have about 20 camp sites at Hardy Dam this year - (sandy beech campground). Please let me know if any of you are going to Hardy the weekend after Labor Day - my dad and I will be going on Thursday 9/9/10.
