I should be there. As long as its not going to be a rainy weekend I will be there. That drive should be a cake walk. Not that far from the bridge.

    Otsego area motels:

    Waters Inn
    10565 S. Old 27
    Waters, Mich
    989-732-5636

    Heart Lake Resort
    9603S. Old 27
    Gaylord, Mich
    989-732-5081

The Waters Inn is across the road from the Keg Bar. Thats walking distance even for me.

If you look at the map that Sanger rat posted, it shows where the State park is and there is a campground right there.

Hope to see a lot of you there. Chet

Yes. We'll meet at the State park which has a beautiful beach area. If it's too windy at that end of the lake we'll go to the other side which also has a nice beach area at the county park. If you look at the map on Sanger rats post, you'll see where the park is located. I'm going to suggest that we bring our mufflers. We've never been to this lake beore and we should try and be legal at least till we find out what's going on. I don't have a " Historical Water Vehicle" so I'm bringing my mufflers just in case. I'm told also, that there are plenty of charcoal grills throughout the park if you want to cook food. We also have an option of taking up a collection and having Pizza delivered to us at the park gate. We can decide that then and there. See all of you there. Chet

    Default Lake Otsego

    Hey Chet

Looks like LaVonne and me might be able to make this meet. We are planning a visit to Sault Saint Marie to visit her brother,so makes sense to combine the events.

Hi guys. I am new today on the forum, but have enjoyed reading your posts in the past and participating in the MHB boat meets.

I live in Waters and have assisted Chet with information pertaining to this meet. I will be camping at the State Park Lot #102 and #103 for the weekend and look forward to seeing you at the meet. Please feel free to call me with any questions hm 989-731-5986.

Otsego Lake is a great boating lake and unlike the Gladwin meet, tons of beach area - (although I had fun at Gladwin).

    Traveling info for Otsego:

If your traveling north on I-75, you'll want to use the Waters exit # 270. You'll proceed west till it ends and turn right to get to the State park which will be on your left. Anyone staying at the Waters Inn, like me, you will find it on the left before you find the State park

If your traveling from the north on I-75, you'll want to use the Gaylord south exit # 279 and follow 27 until you find the park on your right.

See all of you on Saturday the 28th of this month, August. Chet
