    Default Need Advice

Well here's the story, I've long suspected my wife of cheating, the usual signs, phone calls hanging up when I answer, nights out with the 'girls' and not coming home until 3 AM............ So I decieded to catch her in the act and confront her...... Last Thursday night I was hiding in my driveway around 2:30 AM. when a car pulls up, stops 1 house down and out gets my wife, buttening up her blouse and she stops to put her panties back on, It was at that very moment I stood up, as I was crouched down behind my boat and I noticed by the light of the full moon a hairline crack on the side of my boat where the top is laminated to the side............. What I need to know is should I vee it out and glass it myself or should I seek professional help ????????

First off, I'd thank my wife for causing me to find the problem with my boat. Take her out for dinner when she's not too busy. I'm sure any fiberglass guy can advise you on the rest. Chet

Take her for a boat ride waaaaaaay out in the bay. You can fix the crack in the boat but you will never fix her crack. Get ALL your ducks in a row before you let on you know she's cheating on ya. Get as much stuff thats important to you into somebodys elses name, ASAP.

Bill....I feel for ya. But to help with your question on your hairline crack. Depending on the nature of cause would better help decide if you should "v" it out and fix it yourself. If it is a stress crack..it is easy to fix. But if your "hair-line" crack was caused by a highspeed scalp striking your deck, I would sorta lean towards the professional help...just my .02 good luck!!

Bill, V it out, add a lil pussy hair, sand prime paint. If ya screw it up just put rub rail on it and its covered. Mite even prevent another crack down the road.

. Good one ! Boy is that an old story and i have even seen it posted on other sites before . Bill , if you really do have a crack Kitty hair is just a band and if you are going to to the job do it right &...... maybe not today but this fall . Bill I can put you in the right direction as far as using a fabric that is suited for what you need to do on your boat because a fill will really never solve the problem .

After thinking further I would shoot a mold of the top of the boat remove the top divorce the wife when her lawyer says she wants half the boat deliver the top to her shoot a new top and install all will be good.

I don't know you well enough to know if your serious. But if through all that all you are concerned about is the crack in your boat, talk to her boyfriend - he knows how to fill a crack! JK. just saying

Thanks for the concern !!! You guys gotta lighten up, I just thought it was a funny story !!! My wife is like a boom a rang, if I tried to throw her away, she would return right away and hit me in the face !! When we first got together 28 years ago, we fooled each other, I thought she had money and she thought I had money so now we are stuck with each other for life !!! Seriously, things are good here, working on finishing the drywall in my garage, got the boat cradle built and have almost all the parts to finish my Spectra !!! I will be wintering in my 'man cave' boat emporium this year !!!! I'll get off my azz and shoot some pic's. The Schiada is back in action with the new fuel tanks, will try to make the last meet in October. Also won the 2nd half play off in my golf league tonight, next week we play the first half champs for the title !!!! Hard finding the time to have fun, because I'm to busy having fun !!!!! I hope all you guys are in the same BOAT !!!!!!

Congrats. I knew all along what was going on. I guess you just have to be a bit older to understand a story like that. I'm glad everyone else knows now. Hope to see you at Wamplers in October. Chet
