The turnout at Otsego lake was exceptional. Not only the amount of boats but the amount of people that came around to look at them and admire them. The best part was no hassle. The D N R people made us feel welcome and came around to see if we were enjoying our visit. The second best part was this is an absolutey beautiful lake. It has sandy beaches around the entire lake and there are plenty of places to beach your boat. The place is extremely neat and clean. If you want to camp there is a very nice campground to use. You can walk from your campsite to the beach if you want to. Also there are several Motels nearby. There were a lot of pictures taken and some video's which I'm sure will be posted before too long. Christeen, you don't need to post the video of Scott rowing Wildfire in. As it turned out, we ran out of gas before we ran out of beer. Mike Thomas and Christeen were there, Bob Ellis came, Aaron, Josh and Tori showed up and so did " Jimbo" Mattis his wife Doris and their daughter, Mark Morrell and his whole family, Mom, Dad, Wife and kids, Scott and I, Dan and Sue,Bob and LaVonne Mc Donald form Ayrs, Canada were there, Harv and Elaine, and so many that I can't remember them all. I am getting too old to remember a lot of things anymore. As far as I could see, everybody had a wonderful time and we are talking about two meets there next year. Will post more later. If you took Pics, please post them. Later Chet.
Thanks for coming guys. I had a great time seeing those I already know and meeting new folks. Harv and Elaine, as well as Mike and Christeen, came back Sunday for more boating. I was on the lake running with them until 4:30, and they were still out when I headed for home! Mike will have to comment about the underwear that he picked-up on Sunday with his prop...Long story...Hopefully this does not lead to a nickname for your boat Mike! Look forward to seeing many of you at Hardy. Marc Morrell
