    Default firebird world finals

flew out to phoenix fri. for qualifying on sat. Beautiful day in the 90s. Looks like they shortened the track to 1000ft for top fuel hydros to slow them down. Still running in 230s. Speed Sport team was there, from what i understand with a borrowed boat from spirit of texas team. First round to qualify for tfh, speed sport left line ok and shortly had problems, stuffed front of boat in water and whole front end of boat snapped off up to capsul. did not hear of any injuries thank god. Also saw and talked to deanna haas and she wanted me to relay the message of how thankful and appreciative of the mhb club for being there for them and all their support.
