    Hello everyone.
Oct 9th I headed out to wamplers lake to test my jet boat just picked up from South Dakoda (20 hour trip each way).
To my surprise, I was not the only jet on the lake. We did not get to talk to many people, But we were amazed on how many sharp looking boats were on the lake.

This is my first jet boat, I was hoping you could help me understand what I need to do as far as preping the boat for the winter.

We are looking forward to seeing you all next spring.

Welcome. The main thing is to get all the water out of the block and hoses. Pull the two 1/8 plugs on the bowl and fill with fresh 90wt.

Welcome to the asylum !!! Great place to hang in the winter if you blow all your money on your boat and have no life in the winter like me All kidding aside, great bunch of people, ALL the info and tech support you need for free, and if you need ANYTHING you have 20 people that will search the country and post links in 24 hours and find it for you ! What I do for winterizing is drain everything, then start my motor up and fill it with antifreeze, no oxygen, no rust or corrosion just my .02. Oh and by the way, if you give opinions there are always people who don't have a problem calling you an idiot if your wrong

    Thanks everyone.
Don’t worry, I would never own a yellow boat.
I have been drag racing for 10 years and I’m familliar with prepping a motor for storage. I just was not sure if there was something more I had to do with the jet.

    What is this "winter party"

Sometimes the bowl seal will leak and mix water with the oil. After time the water separates from the oil and will freeze and crack the bowl. Pull the plugs if it looks milky change it. I'm working on the Date and place for the winter party. Stay Tuned!

Sound like you should be hooked on your winterizing. So show up at wamplers on any given weekend in the summer and there will be several jets.
