Jeff, I would stay away from the Aug.14th thing if I were you. You may want to try the Secord lake meet on Sept.24th. I don't even know how the Aug. 14th thing got on the list. I sure didn't have it and if you look at the picture of the board, it's not there either. Chet

here is our address, google itnd it will show you were..about 30miles south west of cincy.. you would take the i275 loop around cincy west and we are the first exit when you cross the river into ky..see google "4193 adena trail petersburg ky" and here is a pic from a satalite we have. the arrow points to our ramps and the aprty beach is in the middle..our planned hotboat party is for june 11th but if some of you want to plan another trip we could do 1 day at our place and 1 day uptown as i have a good friend with a marina/ramp close to downtown that we can use also and its up by cincy so its on your way home so to speak..let us know. jeff&carolyn

    Jeff,
I grew-up on Secord Lake and my folks are retired on the river. This will be a late-year run and I think everyone will love running the boats up the river - if you have not been boating on it. I Spoke to Scott (Owner of Secord Lake Marina) who has indicated free boat launch/parking. I encourage everyone to attend/try this at the end of the season September 24. Note that about 5-7 hot boats are on the river each weekend as regulars / home owners. Late in the season, sherriff usually off the river after Labor Day. No Zummies please.

I also hope that folks are able to attend Otsego Lake in Gaylord, Michigan. Last year (first year) went very well and should again. Great beach area, launch, restaurants, etc. I already made reservations at the State Park where we launch.

Well down river i would say yeah. But if you put in at the DNR bridge it is like a 1/2 mile down the river to the sand bar and park on the back side of the sand bar and then start making breakfast. I run a little 10.5ft boat sometimes so i know all about running low in the water.
