I will be making to many trips downstate this summer. The way I figure it right now it would cost me $270.00 roundtrip for fuel to go Brower for the weekend. That don`t include the alky for the boat.

My weekly fuel bill used to be $65-$125, last week was $325. looks like I will be getting around finally to painting, fixing and rerigging my boats this summer.

Nothing will stop me from Jasper this year, and i'm going to attempt the Charlevoix meet fo' sho if work allows it. It's ****ed up when a weekend of boating is more than my house payment.

Yeah, they broke the all time record price in 2008 today. F-ing crooks. I'm sure they'll be braging about record earnings at the end of the quarter. Remember what our fearless leader said, "get used to it". Face it, we are being raped. They cant tell me this isn't hurting our struggling economy. Our government suck. Their all ond the oil wagon.

I made a trip to Ga with the boat for a week and just got back last Thursday.
15 hr trip I figured it cost me $ 260. each way for my diesel pickup plus E85 for the boat for two days, another $ 60. or so. It's just not a cheap sport.
I poured a lot more than that into the engine over the winter too.

The weather was great, like late June in Mi. 83 - 85 degrees.
I was so sick of shitty Mi. weather I needed a V-drive fix.

Doesn't sound to out of line to me. Sounds well worth the $$$!!
I spend $200 each weekend in my duramax running back home to Oscoda from Negaunee. Far less fun for the money...lol

Here's the spot we were hanging out at on Apr 30 at Lake Lanier, Ga.

I left Mi. 5am Friday morn apr 29 and it was 37 degrees in Mi. I was concerned about the water in the block freezing before I got to some warmer weather,
Saturday, and Sunday in Ga it was in the 80's then it dropped down in to the
70's. Seems like a higher % of sunny days around there.
