Default NEW EVENT...boat recovery @ Saginaw Bay Aug 27

Our friend, and fellow boater could use our help in finding his boat. Everybody has offered help...now is the time to take action. Lets find Kyles boat. With a group effort we can find it. Bring anything to drag the water, your fishing boat, submarine, rov, chainlink fence, your wife or a rotten kid! Just show up! I guess we should meet at the state park. Any questions please feel free to call or text me..231-675-5331. Lets get er done and help our friend heal.. ROLL CALL!!

May be able to help, just not sure what I can do! 2 clothes hangers? Seriously, an old man in the area, that knows the water may be the best bet. THEY KNOW THE WATER! currents, been there, done that thing. Has it moved that much???

All good questions. About what depth are we looking at? so people can bring the correct length rope. I've never done a drag before so I'm not sure what kind of items would be good to use.

I'm assuming you just drag it acorss the bottom at low speed until it stops? tightens up? Will it make a noise?

Are we going to try and bring it up if we find it?

I think your going to need an old pontoon boat or two to lift it up off the bottom.

The water is only ten feet deep. If we can find it, we can just drag it to the sandbar and bail it out. A sonar is needed. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=bay+ci...,0.006931&z=18
