Back to Hardy same as usual for me.
One trip to party cove and back will likely use up the rest of the Methanol I have.
Three outings at Hardy and it will have ate up a 55 gallon drum.

I'll have to bring my Ethanol drum and change fuels in the parking lot.

Tawas Bay for me. My daughter got married 2 weeks ago so I fixed up a 17 Bayliner Capri and gave it to them for a wedding present. Now they want me to put it in and show them how to run it, also the new motor is going into the son's Checkmate (hopefully the last) so I think I'm going to have to do some more babysitting there also. I thought I would have a bunch of money and a lot of time to myself when my kids grew up............................ NOT HAPPENING........................ On the me side worked on my Spectra last night until 11:00 got the tanks all bolted and the braces glassed in, just might be able to start the final 50 yard dash next week. Been buying pieces and hardware and bolts, stringer washers, and everything else I could think of for the last 3 years, pretty sure I have everything under 1 roof to finish it !!!!!! Already bought another project for this winter !!!!!! More on that later....................... Top Secret Stuff !!!!! Lynn, HST4ME doesn't know it yet but he's going to be my new best friend !!!!!!

Yeah, I bought a 1974 17 foot HydroStream Vector with an inline 140 hp Tower of Power. The thing is all there, looks pretty good but looks are decieving. The plan is to put a 150 V 6 on it, recore it and metalflake it for a total retro restore. Always wanted one soooooo I ran accross a deal and bought one. The problem with those things are, even if you get the boat free, you still end up upside down. They are nice little river rockets, ride nice, quiet and once you throw about 6000.00 at it, looks like it will be pretty much maintenance free. The win is that I have been working on the Specrta more because I'm not going to tear the HydroStream apart until the Spectra runs. In the interum, I can entertain myself by selling my 140 HP inline and piecing together a Black Max in my spare time which I don't have any of !!!!!!! It's all good everyday is a new adventure !!!!!!!!

Be sure and stop by the shop today or Saturday and we can BS over some stuff. Stuck another piston last night I've been keeping Vertex in business lately. It seems my little monster exceeds the capability of it's carburetors even with special seats and needles. At least I caught it this time and a little hone work and a new slug is all it needs. Last time I was up for 28 hours straight cutting new sleeves and boring the block along with putting it all back together.

They all needed core from the moment they left the factory. Great designs, great gelcoat, horrible build quality.
