Are you saying there are three K boats in Michigan? I'd be happy if there were 3 in the MidWest so we could talk some local races into running K boats.

Edit: Forgot to say, Congratulations on getting a K. Lets see some pictures and are you planning to race it, or just play with it on the lake? I guess the third option could be or polish it on a trailer and talk about how fast it would be if you were to race it, like they do out west

Region 6 is a lot closer to Iowa than California. If we could get 4 or 5 boats to a race, I bet they'd let us run them.

It's a barn find, still has old style rigging. Lots of work to be done, but it's what I like!

Keep in mind Valleyfield Canada use to have some big "K" boat racing.... wonder where this boat came from

Does not matter what engine I put in it, all you hatters will talk shit anyway!

It's a "B" boat. I'll show up at a meet, or a Marble lake race when she is done...

What block are you going to build your Ford with? I personally think it will be cool to have a Ford in the mix if you are planning to race it. I know I had to make a choice between money and brand loyalty and for now mine will be running a Chevy. But if you're a chevy lover, look quick or you'll miss it. It will be there to get the boat on the water quicker and cheaper but eventually the Mopar will be doing it's thing.

But, are you considering campaining a K boat or just catching a race or two for fun? If there will be races in the Middle of the country to run, I'll find a way to push on the K boat a little harder and get it ready. The fiancee doesn't really need a big wedding or honeymoon. Perhaps I can convince her that boat racing is a good start to a honeymoon.

...The fact that you acctually said "Fiancee" in a post leads me to believe that your balls are allready firmly secured in her purse! Best of luck with that plan!

We've already had that talk. She gets to keep breaking horses and I get to keep playing with boats and cars. I think she'll wind up driving one of the boats before it's all said and done. She has the need for speed almost as bad as I do.

I just need to keep her out of my Challenger

    I'm between two blocks.

1.) The Eliminator Performance Products Premier Engine Block
    2.) C and C Aluminum block.
    Kasse Boss 9 heads.

I'd like to spend a year sorting the bugs out before she see's any real circle racing...
