Default 78 Hallet getting a freshining up...looking for fuel tanks

Got this boat the end of last summer and have been going through it just to know what I have. While cleaning and doing the interior, I have found that I need to replace the old fiberglass fuel tanks. I'd really like to find some kind of saddle tanks, as long as they are safe I'll find a way to make them look good. Anybody got anything they want to sell?
By the way its a bb olds with a wj Jacuzzi and a place diverter. I'm in south east Michigan and hope to get this thing to a couple meets this summer.

Check with some of your local fab shops. Might be cheaper to have someone make you some new ones. Square tanks would be easy to bend up if you got the tools. BTW Nice boat and welcome to MHB. Come to the winter party in a couple weeks.

That's like the 20th time he's gone by today?"

I'm in Saginaw, just put tanks in my Spectra. Screwed around for 6 mos. looking and trying to buy something cheap, finally bit the bullet had 2 custom built and fabbed them in myself. Real poa, cost me about 1200 bucks but I'm happy and it only hurt for a little while. If you want to ck. mine out let me know. I have side panels so when the boat is complete you won't see them. Even though I had them custom built, it was still a pain in th azz making the mounts and braces and fitting them. If you don't brace and mount them correctly they will tear the mounts off in a couple of years.I'm planning on working on it all day Saturday. Finally starting on the home streach, down to plumbing and wiring, so I'll snap some pic's and post them Sat/

When I had "OLD YELLAR" I had to put new tanks in so I got two 11 gal. plastic fuel cells and made two metal straps for each one and mounted them with the straps. I think the total cost was around $50.00. Good luck The boat looks good. Where do you live? I live in Livonia. Chet

Could be an idea, I have a few lines on used tanks, hoping one comes through. The plastic fuel cell sounds good too, as you wont see them when im done. Any idea where to get them or who makes them?
Thanks in advance. I'm in the warren/st clair shores area
