Wish I could join you guys, but we've got a family reunion this weekend on Zukey Lake. At least I finally get to take the boat out for the first time! I needed a small lake to test it on in case I need to bring the stetcher. My wife and I just tuned it in on the trailer : hooked up the hose, ran it hot, set the timing, then the valves and carb. No leaks! Good oil pressure (65# at idle). She couldn't believe how far that hot oil would shoot!

Maybe she'll let me go to the next outting? If not Put-In -Bay for New Years!

    Have a great time!

    Thumbs up

It was great boating weather Saturday and I got a chance to check my fuel economy accurately. No WOT runs and never went over 50 mph.

Brower park to party cove down by the dam, way up to the sandbar and back to Brower took 13.8 gallons of E85.
Thats less than I used with the jetboat on race gas and I probably have 300#more weight to float.

I was pretty happy with that. The motor and the V drive are running real efficient. My prop has a lot of slip built into it at low speed too.

yes I have to give it to him, he hit it up there and out to gun lake.
now we need to get him out for a full run from an idle start.

mark, I passed him going down river and then hit it, I heard him in and out of it for a second, but we never lined up for a good race.

I'm game. Next time I'll leave the passenger on the sandbar and strap the lifeline on. I might even push the pedal all the way down.
