Default SLDBA Litchfield, IL Drag Boat Race

Hello fellow Midwest boaters! I'd like to invite each and every one of you to come check out the SLDBA drag boat race in Litchfield, IL next weekend (August 23/24). If you have a hotrod jet boat, outboard, or v-drive, come out and play with us! If you'd just like to come watch some good racing, stop by and hang out with us. It's our hometown site, so we'll have a ton of family and friends there (with plenty of beer). It's sure to be a great time!

Don't worry...I'll take good care of your boat.
There will be a show 'n shine Friday night with a live band and refreshments provided by the City.

Make sure you stop by and say hey to us. I don't know if I understand your question, but the slowest class is River Racer, and you can run anywhere from 12-16 seconds. Let us know if you need anything.

Just as far as safety equipment, and other stuff I need to bring with. I've never gone rope racing before.

Does the race have a website? This is only 3 1/2 hrs from here so might be the best shot to see any kind of boat racing. Don't suppose I could get a couple of them to make a few left turns and just run back up to the starting line then run again?

Yes, the SLDBA website is currently down. I have no idea as to why. Here is a thread I started on dragboatalley with some information:

    Litchfield Drag Boat Race

If any of you have specific questions regarding the race, entry fee, rules, hotels, etc. feel free to PM me and I will give you my phone number. As far as safety equipment for SE, Jody should be able to steer you in the right direction. I'd hate to tell you anything because it's been a few years since I've raced that class. Hope to see everyone there. It's the best professional drag boat race in the Midwest!
