    Default Progress....at Last

Had a productive day Saturday, that concluded with food poisoning Saturday night and all day Sunday (thanks Taco John's meat and potatoe burrito). A handful of small stuff and should be ready to fire by the end of the week...498, 660s, 990s, around 12 to 1, cam via SangerRat, 18s in the box

That's like the 20th time he's gone by today?"

Last time this thing was on the water was 2004, that is when I stole the motor outta it for the Cole. Hopefully will fire it up towards the end of this week. Checked the electrical tonight, got spark, fuel pump, and bilge pump...all a man could ever ask for.

Finally got the motor fired today. Popped right off, sounded strong. Let her warm up a little bit, starts pumping water out the dumps......looked back and the zoomie pipe at #6 is shooting some liquid....hmmmm.....thats funny I run them dry......shut it off, pull the zoomie.....grab a mirror and flashlight......take a peak.....valve guide for the exhaust valve is leaking like a faucet.....come home.....pull the intake and head.....off to shop for pressure check and at least one new guide......fockin boats....good thing I got a spare....

That sucks. It happened to us when we put the Cheyenne together at first. Damn old leaky heads.
