I think he has it indexed at 3.00 right now but out west he runs it faster, there's not much room to get it wowed up at west mi.

this is also an aluminum block with no water jackets, and the jackets in the heads are I guess filled with bowling pin materal.

kkernen, yes its a 6 cyl, its based off a 4.3 chevy just like a mini van right

alright, back to the boat. I'm all done wet sanding and starting to buff it out. the question is should I wax it before I put it on the trailer or not? if wax than what should I use? I'm just a rookie so I don't know what to do.

    Cool Don't WAX IT !!!

You must let the PAINT! CURE for at leasted 90 days. The WAX will seal the
paint. NOT GOOD! IF you want BLING use HANDGLAZE from 3m or Meguiars#9 Swirl Remover2.0 you can pick it up at NAPA. BUY the way wax has SILICONE in it that will not let your painted CURE.
    GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Bo Duke, are you saying not to wax it at all, or wait 90 days before wax? ive herd from some that wax is good for the bottom. "speed" I can use every bit I can get out of this thing! we have a manta ray "flying tube" so all my buddys are counting on me. the master crafts with the bar can't even pull it.

Adam, wait 30 days and your good to go with the wax. All the Imron I ever squrt we let it set for a week after final rub out and polish and never had any problems. The stuff I used on my bottom is Maguires Next Generation tech wax. Its slipperyer than a set of 44DDD's covered in baby oil.

Speed coat is good for the bottom. I will pull that flying tube if you want to go for a ride next summer.

I read on the paint area of the site that you should not put carnuba wax on GEL because it will yellow in the sun, but that was gel an this is imron and its on the bottom and sides so I don't think it will bake. Is that what you put on your white boat in your pic? if so that will work for me

    nice boat bud!!

I just don't wan't to do the wrong thing and F up all the work i've done to this thing
