I'm in Ohio just across the state line. The 3rd weekend in August, The Bridgewater Beaver River Regata host some drag boats. You could get to see and talk to some drag racers that race flats and get some pointers These boats run 125mph+. We race both Saturday and Sunday. It's a free event, fun for the whole family.

I still check through from time to time, not real happy about my boating this year, as in I only got out once! definetly hope to change that next year.

    Default Western Pa Boaters

At the risk of exhuming an old thread, yes, there are still a number of performance boaters in the NE Ohio and Western Pa areas. A number of folks on the S&F site boat on Raystown several times a year, while a lot of people hang out on the rivers. My personal spots are Lake Milton and West Branch. My 32 year old 21 Scarab is so slow that those lakes seem to have gotten bigger than they were when I had 80 MPH plus boats.

    Is that a good thing??
