    Default Anybody from Western Pa.?

Just trying to find if there's is anyone on here from the western Pa area and if so where do you boat? I'm just outside Pittsburgh and looking for someone to hang with, maybe someone with experience in a flatty , as I'll have one to go in the spring and would like someone around with some background.

Welcome to the area. I'm a few miles east of Pittsburgh, no flattie though, 21daytona right now. I do have a friend and engine builder in Butler that has a fair amount of experience with them. Upper Allegheny river is very nice, thats where I go, have a camp up there.

Hey guys, nice to see there are some area people on here. I'm just east of Pittsburgh near Monroeville. I've been running a Sanger Superjet, but this minute I'm doing the final buttonup on a Sanger shovel with a 448 Mopar. The weather is supposed to warmer on Wednesday, so I want to get it wet once before it snows. My winter project is a Sanger gullwing flatty. Having lived on the west coast and moving back here was hot boat shock. Do you boat around East Brady on the Allegheny? Sorry if I sound like I'm bouncing around Just nice to hear from people that get more than bass boats or Bayliners

Looks like there are more performance boats around the area than I realized, cool. I'm just east of Monroeville, nice to hear from someone in the area.
I spend most of my time in the Schenley pool (locks 5 n 6). Sounds like you have some great projects going on.

I usually put in below lock 4 either between 3 and 4 or below 2 and hit all 3 rivers around Pittsburgh, though there usually spring or fall after the river traffic is thinned out. wypy3 are you on the Clinton side of the river? We must live fairly close. Sleek where do you boat? Hey poncho how do live in Mass. work in the Bering sea and come from the West Coast? Getting around for the holidays must be a bitch So over a hundred views and just a couple of us chime in? Jump in maybe we can have a get together somewhere and be one big happy family like the left coast guys. Five months of freezing your ass off to plan!!!!!

I'm about 10 miles from where you put in. We need to keep this going and plan a get together for early next year. Maybe I should have put the heading as something different to include Ohio and northern W.VA. neither is that far away. I'd be willing to tow a couple hours to get together once a month or so. Never been to Kinzua and not to Conneaut since I was a kid, whats the conditions like at either?

Conneaut is good during the week but very busy on the weekend. the beach club burned this summer so unless they rebuild there's not much else for entertainment

Hate to sound like a stalker but I know exactly where that truck is parked. Drove by there several times a week on the way to work.. We need to keep this thread alive and set some sort of date when the waters warm up. If anyone close to Western Pa looks in and would be interested in a get together please chime in.

I'm in Lakewood, NY. About 40 min from Kinzua and Erie Pa. I'm trying to decide on buying a flat or repairing my 25' jet daycruiser that needs a transom and floor.
