Default Information About Lakes in your area!

OK, here is what I need.

    1. Any general info about the lake. A couple paragraphs would be nice.
    2. Names of the launch ramps. Actually LAT LONG in decimal form or a Google Earth overlay would be nice, but I am willing to do some of the research on my own here for the greater good.
    3. Same as above, but surrounding recommended lodging, gas, food.

Imagine that I am trying to collect information for a travel guide to the area. In reality this is all going in the Performance Boats Wiki.

Here is the example for Lake Powell

    http://www.performanceboats.com/html...le=Lake_Powell

Not filled in yet, but I think you will get the idea. Also I will reiterate. The Wiki is not a good place to play around unless you hate your user name here and you wanted to be banned for life. Keep it serious over there.

The most popular inland waterway for Northern Illinois is the Chain Of Lakes. The Chain is formed by a Locke @ Dam system on the Lower Fox River. This Link will give you a great overview of the lake and additional links for the entire area. http://chainolakes.com/community/lake_info
Oh and most importantly We have Drag boat racing every Thursday night from Memorial day till Labor day at Blarney's Island.

The best place for Hot Boats in Michigan is the Hardy Dam, Brower Park area near Big Rapids, Mi.
Lots of boaters come here from other states. There is about 17 miles of distance you can travel from the Dam to the expressway bridge. There are several hot boat meets there every year as well as the "Hardy Party" that is the weekend after Labor day every year.

There is a sand bar area way upriver that draws local drag racers.
Lots of pictures and videos have been shot from there.

In Michigan there are over 1,300 public boating access sites and over 80 harbors and marinas. This is going to take a while.http://www.mcgi.state.mi.us/MRBIS/

That's like the 20th time he's gone by today?"

Absolutely my favorite body of water. The rest of the chain is pretty nice, too. Used to vacation on Clam River every August from '62 to '72...then in Traverse City. Went up there about 5 years ago - and it was even better than I remember as a kid!

Here in central IL we have Lake Shebyville... http://www.theboatingexperience.com/..._illinois.html
    and Clinton Lake ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clinton_Lake_(Illinois) and the Illinois River which should be reaching flood stage and filling with lots of huge mostly submerged floating trees, and other debris pretty soon, always makes for interesting boating.
