Default Looking for a Jet Boat! In Wisconsin

Hey guys I'm looking for a jet boat. Doesn't really matter what engine, would like to stick with a Berkeley pump if possible. Just wondering if you know of anything sitting around your towns? I'm looking for more of a project boat than a show winner. Mainly looking for something that runs but needs cosmetics. I don't know if this is a unatainable goal but I would like to get something for around $2000 or so. Let me know if you know of anything like that, Thanks!

Thanks for the replys, keep them coming. If i spend $2500 i need a running engine in the boat, i'm sure its a hell of a nice boat you have though. A guy in town picked one up last year for $1800, needed interior. Kinda looking for a deal like that.

i will keep my eyes open for you. i just bought a sanger super jet for 1400 but i had to go to il to get it. decent boat, just needed some carb work, new bat to run. i think it needs a complete resto but its runnable now and i run it all the time until winter gets me then its time for the rebuild.

may take some time but i am sure you will find a deal.

I found a 73 Sleek Craft with a berkley jet and a 455. These are kind of a heavier boat right? I would like something to break the 60mph mark. Would one of those pull it off? Or do all of them need engine work to get going that fast?

there are a lot of variables to getting it over 60. The olds engine is the most cost effective route to go if you are looking for speed and performance. Is it doable? Absolutely. The real question is how soon do you want to do it (go that fast), how much can you do yourself, and how much do you want to spend? Remeber speed costs how fast can you afford to go?
