If you're a baseball fan, the Cardinals are playing at home all of this week. The new Busch Stadium is really nice. Take a tour of the Anheuser-Busch brewery. If you like Italian food, be sure to make it over to the Hill or eat at Charlie Gitto's downtown on 6th street. I've lived an hour away from St. Louis my entire life and have never been up in the Arch, so I can't tell you what that's like. I don't know if you have kids, but the St. Louis Zoo and the Science Center are always fun. What do you like to do?

It sounds like your better half would enjoy the Missouri Botanical Gardens or Six Flags theme park. Gateway International Raceway is just across the river in Madison, IL. You might want to check out their website for the schedule, but they usually have weekly races at the drag strip.
