You mean it stops raining there long enough to go boating? Wow.

Just kidding. I've been to Okmulgee Lake but it was many years ago. Also Lake Eufaula.

LOL, yes it actually does stop raining....wait...except for last night.

At our meeting Monday night (which I would like to invite anyone interested) we decided to start a thread on here so everybody could keep in touch and pass news during the winter. We have already starting the planning of the Regatta next year and (weather permitting) it should be better than ever! Robert (Fools Gold) our President will be posting on here some to let everybody know some of the details. We would really like to see some of you guys at the meetings if you can make it, we are not meeting again till February, so that gives you plenty of time out for the Holidays. Make sure to tell all of your boating buddies about us! Let's get the word out!

Had a good time the year before last and would sure like to put a few more faces with screen names. Make sure you post in a few places so us out of state boaters can be sure and see it and mark the dates on our calendars.

LOL, sorry it's not the motor or the boat it's all the safety equipment upgrades they keep requiring and the ever increasing entry/membership fee costs that is taking the fun out of it for me. It's only a bracket boat but it don't run half bad.

its more fun without all dat crap anyways i'm tired of fuel costs myself rather run a smaller motor, be able to make the meets like okmul. etc.

I can agree the meets are more fun usually but I enjoy the Purcell race too. It doesn't matter if you have a big NA piece or a small boosted piece physics is physics. You want to make say 600hp your going to need to burn so much fuel. I'm considering switching mine over to E85 but with the new dual carbs it'll be a little costly. What's worse is I've just about got it dialed in on gas now. LOL

So are you building that small block turbo deal you were talking about or sticking with your nitrous piece for next year?

already bought my turbo, headers, and few other things for the turbo sbc. yeah, i'm with ya on the hp vs fuel useage deal, but i'll be able to turn this thing down to 6-7lbs of boost if i wanna, can run up to 15lbs of boost on super unleaded, or turn da bitch up to 25lbs on race fuel, let er eat i'm basically building a 700-1200hp deal on a single 750 carb, just turn the boost control knob

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.
