With that B boat wouldn't that be more like a shark in wolf's clothing? Glad to hear you're getting the bug again.

Do they even have any boat clubs around these parts? Was working the Stren Bass tourny and talked to one of the bureau of tourism people. She said they'd love to have boat racing on the Mississippi and asked who she could contact. Not only could I not point her to a boat club, I can't really find one to even consider joining. Certainly there should be a few more old race boats stashed away somewhere here in the Mississippi valley.

I have a summerhome on Frentress Lake, just below
Dubuque about 10 miles. I also live in California and have been instrumental in re-starting the Parker Enduro 300 which I have run 2 times in a GN boat and 2 times in a mod vp type boat. The first was a Sleek craft and the second was a HST. I have two Sleekcraft in Iowa, one with a 2.4 and one with a 2.5 260. We spend several months a year at the "cottage". I have met a guy by the name of Chris Fairchild from the quad city area who is involved in racing and may be able to hook you up with a boat racing club. His number is (630)605-7223. Incidentally, either of the Mod V-P's are for sale. Rod Zapf

A thought came to mind---why not get a few of your mid-west friends and come out to race the Parker Enduro 300. The Casino and Resort are absolutely beautiful. It would make a great vacation. The rules for the Enduro are posted on ENDURO300.COM. I am sure there is a Division your boats would fit in. A gent from Bellvue Iowa has come out for several years and raced--Lee Buchanan--Several years back he came in first in Division I and was 7th overall. I co-drove with him in that race. He now has his own rig. If you are interested in the race site, hotel, casino etc. you can find it on BLUEWATER RESORT AND CASINO--PARKER ARIZONA. Rod
