I was thinking the same thing. I've finally just sorted out my tranny & ignition issues. I'm ready to work on jetting down and stand on it. How about Brainerd area (Gull Lake, Crosslake)? I'm willing to drive a few hours if enough guys want to meet up. Jocko

Well, I just ordered my carb, batteries, box's, got the new plugs, wires, dizzy, coil, etc. Looking to get a prop ASAP. Hopefully that will get my issued figured out and I will be on the water. Will probably end up on 'Tonka due to the fact my trailer is tagless with no lights. But if anyone is gonna be in the area and is looking for something to do, I would be greatful for some help and BSing over some beer. Feel free to let me know.

I think I'll pass on going to Minnetonka on Labor Day weekend. I'm too noisy, it's always rough and the 40 mph speed limit is a real buzz kill. Jocko

    Duane,
Is there a lake near you that I could run (fast!)? I really would feel safer with another boat around during my first top end passes. I'm anticipating an honest 115+ mph and I'm actually paranoid ever since my son crashed his identical boat early this year.
Let me know and I'll come up your way on Saturday. Dave

Screw the tag, only way it will be a problem is if you get stoped for something else. I doubt like hell they look for that little blue sticker on the poll.

Get it together, and pull up with Jokorace!

Sail boat? Is that like a V-drive less engine? You dont mean an actual sail boat do you?

    Default Maple Lake

Don't think I can pull off a 1 day shot to your lake on Saturday. My wife is only off on Sunday/Monday and we're going to Crosslake one of those days. So I would have to do 500 miles round trip on Saturday, then drive back up (120 miles) to Crosslake.
I did a quick speed run tonight. The boat ran flawless...no leaks, oil drips or issues, however I need to pickup 500 rpm's to get my speed where it should be. Still not bad for the actual 1st hard pass. 6,500 rpm is about 105 mph. I'm jetted very fat, only at 32 degrees of timing and I'm running mufflers. Just gotta get to 7,000!! Dave

Keep your fingers crossed for me boys, I got a line on a dirt cheap 28' Party Cat that I will hopefully be picking up late tomorrow. Then you can be sure I will be all over this state's 10K lakes this weekend.

    Default Labor day in minnesota

we are there each Labor Day. However, we had to change this year to 17-22 August because the oldest grandkid starts kindergarten. We will be on the lookout anyway just in case you slip away from the duties.

I'm not aware of anything on labor day but a bunch of us are getting together weekend after Labor Day in Marquette IA on the Mississippi. We'd love to have more performance boaters there!
