Default Questions for those at Table Rock Lake - MO

We're thinking of becoming boat owners. We usually rent boats at Table Rock Lake and have tried Lake of the Ozarks and once was enough. We like the area but forget boating on those waters.

We wondering what some of you that are used to Table Rock would suggest for storage etc. We are wanting to have the boat in a slip but that seems really expensive from what we can tell. Around $1400 per year for a slip that hold a Pontoon Boat.

I boat at LOTO and I absolutey love it of course I have lived here my whole life. I have been to table rock also and it is just as nice. The only difference I see at LOTO there is a lot more things you can do and there is more to see. I dont know if you have ever been to Table Rock on a windy day but it can be just as ruff as LOTO.

What part of TR do you boat? Yea, storing a boat at the lake can be expensive and your $1400/yr is about right from what I've seen. The other option would be to purchase a slip, lots of them on craigslist, but you are going to spend $20-25K plus the cost of a lift. There is plenty of dry storage around the lake. We boat around the Shell Knob area generally.

Never been to LOTO, I've heard its nice but have been warned about the roughness especially in a smaller boat. We have been going to TR for 25+ years and rarely have seen the wind be a problem, just gets boat chop rough on busy weekends. Of course, we boat on the smaller end of the lake on the Kings river mostly.

What kind of "more things to do" are you referring to?

If you all think Table Rock is nice. You should try Beaver lake near Eureka Springs Arkansas about an hour from table Rock. I have family around Table Rock but Beaver is it. Scuba Diving is also great at Beaver.

Sorry for not replying sooner, I have been very busy getting things ready for the Drag Boat racers we manufacture the Drag boat canopy windows and things are picking up right now. We are located at the Lake of the Ozarks. I have a Eliminator and a Cobalt. At our lake you can go to all kinds of resturants on the water and eat just about anything your heart desires and the night life hear is amazing. When I say a lot more things to see i mean 300,000 plus boats, beautiful homes, and an occasional view of the females.
The Lake of the Ozarks has more shoreline than the coast of California so you can image there is a lot to see here. If you have not been here before you are missing out, but the ride can be a little rough on the weekends. We typically just find a cove to hang out in during weekend days.

Yes i will run the main channel, normally on the week days and early morning runs on the weekends, but the weekend days can be a little sketchy.

haha, yeah man, thats what I was thinking. I was just asking to size it up to see I should try to take my jet on the ozarks, i've had a pretty small boat out there and lived, so I guess I'll be alright.

I'm sure you're one of the few jet boats out there, how awesome is that!
