    Default Lake Houston

Hey guys, I'm a So Cal guy that spent 3 years in Houston, about 25 years ago. My company transferred me to Houston and I lived on the lake. Drug my Sanger flat to Texas and ran it a lot on the river feeding lake Houston. I met a lot of cool guys with some nice hot rods back then. Good memories of good times. Do any of you run your boats there still?

Is love's the place below the dam? I went there once, it was kind of cool pulling up with a blown flat, most people acted like they never saw such a thing. My address was Crosby, although from the "town?" to my home on the lake was probably seven miles. I'd love to bring one of my hotrods there, but that's a long tow for memories. Yeah, please do post pic's if you can, I'd like to see how things have changed (or not).

I grew up in San Diego and have numerous fond memories of Fisher's Landing and the river outside of Yuma. I recently purchased a 25' Nordic Rage, we have five kids, and are considering making the haul to the river to show the kids some of my childhood. It'll be interesting navigating the beast in those shallow waters. We may head for Havasu as well.

Tell me more about this area of San Jac and Lake Houston. Those pics look similar to the river I was talking about. Are there many places to pull over, set up a canopy, and ski off the beach? If so would this be a reasonable place for me to take my boat? It's definitely closer that the river. I'm in San Antonio.

Could put in at Riverside and then run up river to where we are all at. It is not to long of a run 5-6 miles i would guess. Loves can be a problem to get back on the trailer if the water goes out, just my .02
