Most of what I hear about the Houston area is peeps running the San Jacinto river. Not sure what may be goin on around there this weekend though. There is a pretty big group of folks from the Houston area, can catch up with them on THB a lot of the time. Check it out if you have time. www.texashotboats.com/forums

if ya leave loves and go down river which would be to the left when leaving go down past the old hwy 90 bridge, keep going you will past the new hwy 90 bridge, look over to the left there is a sandbar that a few peeps hang out on, if ya continue going down river you will come to the island alot more peeps hang out there also preety much sandy all the way around the island. there is probably a few peeps on here that go to lake houston, but i don't know the lake.

The lake we stayed at was Lake Lowndes. It would have been a nice place to have the vdrive.

Yeah Todd, we did. Had a helluva good time. Nice place out there. Ramp is easily accessible with a little room to tie the boat off for loading or whatever. Jeff(TexasJet) GPS'd it, its a 7 mile ride up to that big sandbar/beach where everyone was hangin out. It was nice, I think last I heard there was 25 boats there that day. Roger did a bangup job puttin that deal together, we'd definitely go there again..

So how you been man, everything cool? Don't see ya around much.

Not worth a damn... Finally got the 496 in the boat, fired her up and dropped a valve on #1

Not sure if it was a valve lock failure or floated a valve (forgot to put a chip in the rev limiter)

Anyway... On the hunt for another piston and i have my heads in the shop getting repaired

I was sooo close to getting her wet again. I did manage to make it to the upper San Jac on Saturday and met Diamond Dave(get'erwet) and his wife, good people!

Hey Tim, that's your open bow boat with the blue bimini top that Stuart is walking in front of, right?

    That's a sweet boat!

Damn Todd, that sux. Hopefully you don't have too much trouble finding a piston.

That blue & white open bow is Stuart's Tahiti. I haven't seen it in person yet, but it looks clean as hell in all the pics I've seen of it.
