Default Fundraiser/Show & Shine in East Texas anybody?

Hey guys, do you all think that we might be able to get together and have a fund raiser/show & shine here in the East Texas area? A friend of ours, actually my ex-girlfriend from H.S., lost her mom and daughter in the flood at Alberts Pike campground last summer. She is starting an animal rescue center to help save animals that don't have any time left at the local animal shelters. From their website: http://www.kyleespawsforacause.org/Home_Page.html

Kylee's Paws for a Cause is a donor supported non-profit organization started by Amanda Willis, in honor of her daughter, Kylee Sullivan. Kylee left this earth on June 11, 2010 along with her grandmother and best friend in a terrible flood at Albert Pike in Arkansas.
Kylee had a love for animals, and in particular, sheltered animals. She would save up any money she earned and donate it to the local animal Shelter in Texarkana. Her mother wanted to continue this dream of Kylee's and carry on her memory.
Kylee's Paws for a Cause, once it is built, will take local animals from the shelter that are about to be euthanized. The animals will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, receive basic animal training and then adopted out to loving homes. The current plan for the shelter once it is built includes approximately 20 covered kennels and a large fenced dog running area.

Would anybody be interested in having a get-to-gether sometime in the spring? I know there are a lot of us in the area and think we could have a great turnout and do something good for our friends that can't speak for themselves.

Will do I was thinking maybe sometime in April. I was thinking maybe having it at the Rod Run in Jefferson in Mid-April since there'd be a big turnout for that already?
