We are moving to Grand Forks late this year and I am trying to decide whether to bring our boat. Devil's lake looks nice on google maps but i can't seem to dig up any information on it. We may sell the boat rather than move it if there is no 'scene.' Please post back here if you hear anything good/bad about the area...

I am in south western nd Dickinson,, I heard devils lake is pretty nice, pretty much the only mountains in ND besides the badlands,, I was up here all last summer without a boat,, I was wishing I had mine,, there is alot of lakes including the fifth largest resevoir in north america Lake Sakakawea, they are all uncrowded and i dont think there is any noise restrictions,, Devils Lake could be an exception its a little more touristy up there I think,, But then again I havent been there,, Bring youre boat we will create our own scene

Hello in ND! Well ND doesn't have a killer boating scene but there are a few Hot Boats around. As far as I know Lake Metigoshe near Bottineau in the Turtle mountains has the most hot boat activity. What that means is the area has a few older jets that might make it out a few times a year at best. Particularly July 4th weekend.

There are a couple Tahiti's, a Borum Cheetah, been a few Sleekcrafts and a few other older jets.

I've never heard of much being on Devils Lake. Mostly fishing boats there. There are a few at best bigger 28'+ Hot Boats on Sakakawea but they are a rarity. The river in Bismarck has a few jets and mixed newer sport/performance boats.

Moritz Marine in Bismarck has a pretty nice Crusader BBC/Jet right now.

Aside from that the area is dominated by fishing boats/jet ski's. With that said bring your boats up and get the scene going.
