    Default 06 496 mag, stalling issue

    hello, new member north east area,2006 formula 33 ss, 496 mags,aprox 425 hours,tech question,port engine issue,audible alarm followed by engine stall it will do this at speed slow moving and at idle and olny on first cold start, scan codes,has code for crank sensor/cam sensor and fuel pump relay/it will do this upon first cold start,then after sitting,it will run fine the rest of the day,fyi I have serviced the fuel pickups,thank you for any insight,

    I've been hands-on with the 496 motor since it's inception. I have no problems helping you trouble-shoot, but you guys have to keep this information in ONE THREAD, so I don't have to post in all different ones. Here's the current one, with a slightly different issue than yours. A lot of the trouble-shooting would be the same. If you enter 496HO or 496 HO or 496 in the search box above, you will see several threads with similar problems to yours. Already been there.

    More than likely, unless you have recently had your sea pump impeller freshened up - it's low water pressure:

    hey thanks for the reply and advice,sorry about the post and its placement I am new to this site and how it works,pump assembly is new,flow and temp are good,in an effort to eliminate items I removed the iac and it appears to have lost some of the lower chamber parts,after replacement boat ran fine but the problem was intermittent,so a few more runs will tell,thank you again!
