Somewhat new to boating. I bought my first boat earlier this year with the intentions of restoring it, '79 Charger Offshore '24 with a 454 and Volvo-Penta 280DP. Then my fiance showed me an ad for a '88 Carrera 20.5 Eagle with a 454 and Berkeley JG. The guy just had new upholstery work done and installed a new motor out of a pick up. He also had new tires put on the trailer. Then I think he got himself in deeper than he thought and wanted out of it ( I think his wife wanted the garage back). He originally wanted $6000 for it, but I got it for $2500. So now the Charger is put aside while I work on this. I'm currently rebuilding the jet pump (the front bearing and rear bushings were knocked out of it) and also building a 496 BBC for it. Replacing the wiring harness, new gauges, steering wheel, cables and a wrap. What's peoples thought on a wrap?
