Default Mcleod flattie in New Zealand - newbies!

    Hi All

I am the crewchief and team manager for my friends new race boat. He is (completely) computer illiterate so I'm the forum guy...

He has been in the powerboat scene in NZ for a long time but just picked up his own boat finally. He is also completely technologically illiterate so that's my domain too...

So, we have an 18' Mcleod hull with a fire breathing (my god how do I stop this forum autocorrectingme it is missing every econd letter tha is painful) small block carby'd race motor with a 10deg 22% split Casale and 11 3/4 x 15 Meakens prop. approx. 800 horsies.

Now, I need to find all the drawings and info and rebuilding info and oil types for the vdrive, (I know nothing about them) and also how to set up the plates (2 of them). Also all the newbie hints, FAQ etc.

Boats name is Satan's Pride and is previous NZ Pro comp class winner!

We had a test day last weekend and the casale mount plate developed a crack so need to get another one of those machined up. I really need to know how to set up a v drive.....

Would love to hear any feedback!!

    Matt and Craig
