Quite the opposite. We have experienced very good results with the Titan pump. It has maintained consistent oil pressure in long stroke, high bearing speed engines where we previously experienced some pressure drop with conventional hv pumps.

The worst culprits I have seen with dropping oil pressure as engine speed increased were either too little pickup to pan clearance or collapsing oil filters due to high pressure. The best filters for high pressure have been the WIX racing filter and the K&N racing filter. Some other "brand" names have not offered positive results under high pressure.

If you remove the pan from the damaged engine, look in the bottom of the sump and see if you see any screen or pickup print. You might be suprised, especially if someone ever stored the engine with it sitting on the pan!

I was thinking the pickup also, but the opposite , to Close to the pan , .. at first can pull oil then not get enough around the edge of the pickup , Just another thought . E

sec. then just start dropping till it hit 20psi, and stay. yes it was shut down immediatly. pulled pan, put a brand new titan pump in, same problem! pulled that one out, put in a Milodon pump, and now everything
is good! WTF? I thought these things were the s__t! now I'm not so sure!
He also switched out the Jeff Johnson billet pan for a Milodon! and he's a dealer for titan/jjbf! anyone else heard of any problems with these setups? I put one in a friends 632, and besides it having 130psi oil pressure at first, have had zero issues since.
Never seen that issue with those pumps. Call titan, Bob is a great guy to deal with. He can test the pump too.

Id look at switching to his hex drive if your running a GM sportsman wet sump setup though.

What filter are you using? Is it a remote with a by pass or no by pass. Had a similar problem and it was the filter.
