If your going to use that regulator I would also run a bypass like Sleeper has in his drawing, we are doing the same thing on ours. We modify the -3 to 1/8 pipe fitting that bypasses the fuel just before the regulator to accept a nitrous jet so we can restrict the amount of fuel bypassed. We also bypass fuel just before the fuel solenoids and use .024 jets, all the bypasses help keep fuel moving. One other thing is to make sure your regulator is mounted or hanging in a way where it will see no vibration from the motor.

    See you Sat.

holyshit that looks like real headache

    Wayne,

On that return line, mine might be a - 2 line. It just needs to be big enough to bleed off pressure. Also, our's runs over the top so it is very short I think I ended up using a braided hose brake line it was pre-made and was the correct size in length and dia.

Here is a simplified diagram of the fuel system, this will give you the basics:

When will it hit the water ?

On the small tank in our boat we have run through 40 lbs of Nos on a weekend and had plenty of fuel left over. The systems don't use a ton of fuel, you just need to have a good steady supply to the solenoid.

I can't wait to see it in the water either ! Not sure when it will be ready though Although, the diagram was very helpful, thanks alot for the info.

You dont use much of any fuel on a nitrous pass, that size tank will be fine. You could probably run multiple bottles and not have to refill that tank. What regulator are you using?

We pumped almost 40 lbs. of nitrous through my deal last race. Stuff is addicting.
Sounds good Chris, i was planning on being out there on Saturday. I just got that Jaz 1.5 gallon cell and it just looked small to me, glad it will work ! I have that Holley reg that comes w/ the Holley blue pump.......but I'm not sure if thats the one to use ???? I was looking at the Aeromotive stuff, thats what i'm running on the motor. Any thoughts on pump/reg combo's for the n20 system ???? Thanks Chris.

Tom, from some reseaching, it would be doable to build a pump gas friendly bigblock setup that could cruise on the pumpgas and run a very large shot of NOS while enrichening with alky. Could make serios power and still be a lakeable cruiser. The bottom end would still need to be built to handle the final hp level and the cam and heads would need to be built around the idea of making max hp while on the nos , along with a larger imp. in the pump , but when setup this way this hit from the NOS would be awsome.just my .02
Oh yea, get back to work , lol

    Yes, it is.

Been running smaller ammounts (75 to 150HP) of it thru Lowrider's 454 for 30 years now.

I refer to nitrous as " sex in a bottle" as CS said it's addicting
