I'm begining to think that RAm has been using a little too much of Columbias product.

Steve, how far would you let YOUR country go to acheive it's goals? What would you do if the US govt declared Marshal Law and started arresting people without charging them? Why do some people think that democracy is only good for the USA, but not for any other country? Why does America look like HYPOCRITES to a lot of the world...WE need to live by our word, and yes, sometimes that will bite us on the butt, but we will win a lot more to our side when they realize they can truly trust us, that we actually BELIEVE in democracy for everyone, and will not support a dictator just for our political and financial ends.

Who is respected more...The boss who can never admit he's wrong, or the boss that admits when he makes a mistake?

Steve, I am not against the US of A; I believe that we can be the "last great hope", but we have to EARN that title, it's not something we can just claim on past deeds. WE fought the cold war at times by supporting repressive regimes, and it was at times necessary, but we need to be very careful to support our friends, while not adding fuel to the fire of Al qaeda. It is definitely a difficult balancing act.

Hey America Basher, I got you pegged !NAME another country that has DONE the amount of good this great country has world wide? Now if this thing blows up, your brain dead Pet without papers in the white house owns it!!

The Arabs taking back their nations are true patriots. More power to them. We need to stay out but support their efforts.

Mubarak was finished; If he had started machine-gunning his people, it would have prolonged his thugocracy for less than a year. Meddling in other countries affairs has almost always got us in trouble; The biggest problem is it is almost impossible to understand a truly different society... to predict what they will do. We would have been in as much or more trouble if we had stood by Mubarak....as it is, the Egyptian people will look at how the US stood, not by the thug running the country, but by the Egyptian people, and will not throw us out on our ear, like from the Phillipines. Yes, there is a chance that the MB will gain control....but the situation was out of our control...We need to hope that freedom and democracy will gain a strong hold...as it did here.
